Editor's Note: The following information is a press release from the office of Congressman Frank Pallone.
Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) Thursday was sworn in to the 113th Congress. First elected in 1988, today marks the beginning of Pallone’s 13th term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“I am deeply honored to represent the Sixth District of New Jersey in the 113th Congress,” said Pallone. “I thank the people of New Jersey’s Sixth District for this great privilege, and will do all I can to continue to serve the needs of our communities during my next term.”
Congressman Pallone expressed his hope that the next Congress will accomplish more than the Republican-led 112th Congress, which has been described as the least productive in modern history.
“The 112th Congress was disappointingly unproductive and left many important items unfinished. It is my hope that the 113th Congress will reverse this trend, and the first order of business must be relief for the victims of Superstorm Sandy. I also look forward to working with my colleagues on legislation that will grow the economy, support job creation, make healthcare more accessible and affordable and protect the environment,” Pallone added.
