Fajardo and Hush Win Board of Education Seats

The unofficial results are in for Tuesday's school board elections in New Brunswick.

Diana Fajardo and Ronald Hush are the New Brunswick Board of Education's newest members, following the results of Tuesday's elections.

According to unofficial results provided Tuesday night by the City Clerk's office, Fajardo received 520 votes and Hush received 515.

Fajardo will fill a one-year term on the board and Hush will fill a two-year term.

Cedrick Goodman received 226 votes, Jerry Mercado received 211 votes, and Martin Arocho received 110 votes.

Candidate Rev. Antonio Finney received 28 votes, despite withdrawing from the race after the ballots were drawn up. Finney withdrew from the race to put his support behind Goodman.
