Get Ready for Rutgers Day

Rutgers Day will be held on April 27 in New Brunswick and Piscataway.

Rutgers Day is exactly one month away, and Rutgers University is gearing up to offer more than 500 activities, performances and exhibits.

Rutgers Day 2013 will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27 across the Rutgers New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses.

The day will also feature the NJ Folk Festival and Ag Field Day.

According to a press release from Rutgers, new offerings for 2013 include an 11 a.m. Rutgers Day parade on College Avenue, featuring the Rutgers University marching band and floats.

The day offers no end of children's activities, including arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, puppet shows, science and chemistry shows, and musical performances.

Admission and parking are free. Shuttles will be available between the College Avenue, Busch, Douglass and George H. Cook campuses, according to the release.
