The altercation occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday on Bayard Street near French Street, resulting in a 31-year-old New Brunswick man being stabbed in the upper back, according to Cpt. J.T. Miller of the New Brunswick Police Department.
21-year-old Raul Quiroz, of New Brunswick, has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Miller said.
Miller said both men were on scene when police arrived and both were intoxicated and uncooperative.
