Mom and Two Kids Struck in Intersection

The three were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police say.

A mother and her two children were struck by a car while crossing in an intersection in New Brunswick Friday night.

According to Cpt. J.T. Miller of New Brunswick Police, the 29-year-old woman and her two children, ages 6 and 10 were crossing in a Hassart Street crosswalk when they were struck by a black Honda Civic turning onto Hassart from George Street.

The car was driven by Jose Martinez, 19, who stayed at the scene, Miller said.

The three were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment.
