One Killed in Monday Night Fire on Easton Avenue

Cause of blaze still under investigation.

A two-alarm fire at 204 Easton Ave. Monday night left one person dead and two injured, according to a New Brunswick fire official.

Deputy Chief Tom Lopardo said the cause of the fire is still unknown. The two family residential house on Easton ignited around 10:10 p.m.

Whether or not the house can be inhabited again is still being determined, following a partial roof collapse into the second floor as a result of the flames, Lopardo said.
