75,000 people descended on Rutgers University on Saturday for the university's annual Rutgers Day celebration.

The College Avenue, Busch and Cook/Douglass campuses were chock full of activities, performances, exhibits, student groups and other fun things for families to partake in throughout the day, including an insect petting zoo, a performance by the Rutgers Marching Band, a 12-foot animatronic dinosaur puppet, and a dog show.

The NJ Folk Festival and Ag Field Day were also held on the Douglass and Cook campuses, respectively. The Folk Festival, on Douglass campus, celebrated the music and culture of Bulgaria this year, in addition to showcasing dozens of folk performers, crafters and artists.

Ag Field Day, a Cook Campus tradition, celebrated nature and agriculture with a dog show, open tours of the Cook barns, and information on sustainability, clean water and air, and other aspects of the environment and healthy living.
