Seaman Street Raid Uncovers Weapons, Heroin and Counterfeit Cash

Police raided a Seaman Street residence on Monday morning, discovering a cache of weapons, fake cash and drugs.

According to a press release from the New Brunswick Police Department, city police officers, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Service executed a warrant at 291 Seaman St. early Monday morning, and arrested resident Corey Pittman, 53.

According to police, Pittman has been charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of hollow nose bullets, possession of a firearm during the commission of a CDS offense, certain persons not to possess a firearm, receiving stolen property (firearm), criminal simulation (possession of counterfeit US money), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities confiscated a ski mask, a bulletproof vest, and police scanners, the release said.

Bail has been set for Pittman at $152,500, the release said.
