Suspect in Shooting of Five-Year-Old Arrested in Piscataway
A North Plainfield teenager was arrested and charged in a shooting that injured a five-year-old boy in Plainfield.
An 18-year-old North Plainfield teen was arrested in Piscataway on Saturday and charged in connection with a shooting that injured a five-year-old boy as he walked with his mother.
According to a report on NJ.com, Jose Rodriguez, 18, was arrested at a house in Piscataway and charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on a Plainfield street on Jan. 10.
The five-year-old was struck in the face with a stray bullet as he walked with his mother.
He remains hospitalized at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in critical but stable condition, according to the report.
