Two People Shot on Seaman Street Tuesday Night

A 33-year-old man and a 20-year-old transgender resident shot on a porch on Seaman Street Tuesday.

Two people sitting on a porch were shot around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the 300 Block of Seaman Street.


According to Lt. J.T. Miller of the New Brunswick Police, a 33-year old male was shot in the leg and a 20-year-old transgender resident was shot in the arm after an unidentified assailant walked up and opened fire on the two.Β 

Miller said the injuries were deemed non-life threatening, and both were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, treated and released.

Information on the shooter was not available, and Miller said the two victims were "uncooperative" with providing information.


Miller said the investigation is still ongoing.
