Halloween Tricks and Treats Thursday in New Brunswick

A guide to daily events in New Brunswick.

1. Halloween is here! Bring the family to Lord Stirling Community School at 5 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Oct. 31 for Trunk or Treat, presented by Unity Square and New Brunswick 4-H. Participation is free and open to all New Brunswick families.

2. The New Brunswick Free Public Library will host a session of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) crafts, including paper flower making and a sugar skull workshop, presented by Lazos America Unida. Bring a photo of a deceased loved one to place on an altar to celebrate their memory. 

3. Cross the Albany Street Bridge into nearby Highland Park for free outdoor movie screenings, a pumpkin carving contest, truck or treating on Raritan Avenue and horse-drawn carriage rides, presented by Main Street Highland Park.
