The Week Ahead in New Brunswick: Grease Trucks Leave College Ave., Primaries

A list of things happening around the Hub City this week.

Good morning, New Brunswick. What's going on in town this week?

1. The Grease Trucks will vacate their longtime spot on College Avenue by Aug. 15 to make room for a redevelopment project there.

They'll be relocated to spots around New Brunswick and Piscataway, but if you want to grab a fat sandwich from the trucks while they're still on College Avenue, this is your final week to do so.

2. The primaries are on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Representative Rush Holt is vying against Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Congressman Frank Pallone, and Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver for a seat in the U.S. Senate. Click here to locate your polling place.

3. R&B star Toni Braxton comes to State Theatre this week with a performance scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14. Tickets start at $45.

4. New Brunswick 4-H invites families to their new offices at 71 Lipman Drive for Arts and Crafts night at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Admission is free and open to the public. More information is available here.

5. Hub City Sounds continues this week with a free performance by the family-friendly band "Starfish" at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at State Theatre.
