The New Jersey Film Festival will present the second and final installment of the "Jersey Fresh" series -- which features films by New Jersey filmmakers -- this Saturday, February 23 at Rutgers University!

The Dead Sleep Well - Mark Loriot Mazzeo (Sewell, New Jersey)
A neo-noir version of  Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart. 2012; 8 min. With an introduction and Q+A session by director Mark Loriot Mazzeo!

Scavengers – Josh Cohen (Highland Park, New Jersey)
In this short film, Will and Jess have survived the nuclear apocalypse and are doing their best to fend off the mutants! 2012; 18 min. With an introduction and Q+A session by director Josh Cohen!

The Boyz of Summer - Antonio DiFonzo (Elizabeth, New Jersey)
As the summer unfolds, in this independent feature film that leads from the gritty city streets of Elizabeth to the Jersey Shore, childhood friends, Rocco, Drew, and Sal re-unite.  Having returned home for the summer, Rocco, an art student, finds that his visions are suddenly amplified, as his dreams compel him to draw what he is seeing and feeling.  Meanwhile, the bonds of friendship are tested, as the three young men struggle with the limits of their upbringing and challenges at home.  Underscoring their story is a great sound-track that combines indie rock with orchestral compositions. 2012; 109 min With an introduction and Q+A session by director Antonio DiFonzo!
