City Residents, Activists to March Through New Brunswick Saturday for Purpose of Discouraging Community Violence

Will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday on Throop Avenue

Tormel Pittman, chairman of the Direct Action Coalition, has announced that the group will hold a "Stop the Violence" march beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday on Throop Avenue, proceeding to Robeson Village in New Brunswick.

The purpose of the march is to promote anti-violence agendas, Pittman said.

Previous marches by the group have been to protest police brutality, but Saturday's march will address violence within the community, Pittman said.
