Food Alliance Celebrates Black History Month with Film Screening and Panel

The New Brunswick Community Food Alliance will screen "Soul Food Junkies" on Feb. 23 at Crossroads Theatre.

The New Brunswick Community Food Alliance has announced a Feb. 23 film screening and panel discussion in honor of Black History Month.

"Soul Food Junkies", a film by Byron Hurt, looks at the role of food in African-American culture and the health of that community.

The film will be screened for free while local community groups offer health and nutrition information, according to a press release from the alliance. A panel discussion will follow.
