Free Health Fair to be Held Tonight at Roosevelt School

The event will feature health screenings, group fitness activities and a film screening.

The "Active Families, Healthy Kids" Community Health Fair will offer a number of health screenings, fitness activities and raffles from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at Roosevelt Elementary School, 83 Livingston Ave.

Presented by the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Community Health Promotion Program, the event is free and open to the public.

Additionally, a 20-minute documentary produced by local teens involved with the film club at New Brunswick Recreation's Hub Teen Center will screen at 5 p.m. in the school's auditorium.

The documentary features interviews with local farmer's market vendors, business and restaurant owners and examines the availability of quality food and exercise in the area, according to a press release on the event.

It was produced using a grant provided by United Healthcare and assistance from New Brunswick Tomorrow, according to the release.
