State Theatre Declared Top 2,000 Seat Venue in the World
"Venues Today" ranked State Theatre as the top 2,000-seat and under venue based on money brought in between October 2012 and October 2013.
State Theatre is the best 2,000 seat venue in the world, according to a leading concert venue publication.
Concert industry magazine "Venues Today" recently ranked State Theatre as the top venue in the world in the 2,000 and under seat capacity category, based on money made between Oct. 16, 2012 and Oct. 15, 2013, according to a press release from the theatre.
“We are very proud of this accomplishment, especially as we celebrate our 25th anniversary as a performing arts center this season,” said President & CEO Mark W. Jones. “This confirms that the State Theatre is a major player in the world of performing arts and concert entertainment.”
The list also included venues like the Hershey Theatre in Hershey, Pa., the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center in Sarasota, Fla. and the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center in Midland, Texas, the release said.

The next show on the roster for State Theatre is a Dec. 17 Christmas-themed performance by The Beach Boys.
