Domestic Violence Awareness Advocates to Rally on Saturday

The rally will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hub Teen Center on Joyce Kilmer Avenue.

The New Brunswick Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition will host their 11th annual march and rally for domestic violence awareness on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The rally will begin at 11 a.m. at the Hub Teen Center, 411 Joyce Kilmer Ave.

According to a press release from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, a participant in the event, other participants include UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School’s Eric B. Chandler Health Center, the New Brunswick Police Department, the Puerto Rican Action Board (PRAB), Women Aware, Inc. and Healthier New Brunswick.

October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The day will feature speeches and information on domestic violence intervention and assistance. Entertainment for children will also be offered, the release said.
