Five Things Happening in New Brunswick This Weekend

This weekend is packed with holiday events in the Hub City.

Saturday

Free horse-drawn carriage rides, Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, 2 Albany St. and the Heldrich Hotel, 10 Livingston Ave.Β 

New Brunswick City Market is offering free horse-drawn carriage rides between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday. Carriages will depart from the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick and the Heldrich for tours of the downtown area.

Rides will also be held during the weekend of Dec. 21-22.

Three Doctors Holiday Health Basketball Event,Β New Brunswick High School, 1000 Somerset St.

The Three Doctors Foundation will hold a holiday basketball game between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the gymnasium of New Brunswick High School. To get in, attendees are asked to bring a toy or a winter clothing item to benefit local disadvantaged youth.

Santa Visits New Brunswick Houlihan's!, 55 Route 1

From noon to 4 p.m., Santa Claus will visit Houlihan's for free framed photos with children.

Sunday

Health Fair at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 15 Maple St.

Come down to Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon for a free health fair in cooperation with Saint Peter's University Hospital.

Festival Of Advent Lessons and Carols, Christ Church Episcopal, 5 Paterson St.

At 4 p.m., ths church will have a service featuring readings from the bible, each followed by a carol or a choral arrangement. A reception will follow the service.
