New Brunswick Elks to Offer Free Soup, Coffee to City Residents Sunday

New Brunswick residents recovering from Hurricane Sandy are invited to come to the Elks lodge for a cup of hot coffee, soup and a chance to warm up.

The New Brunswick Elks Lodge is opening its doors to New Brunswick residents from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday to warm up and have some free coffee and soup as the city recovers from Hurricane Sandy.

According to a press release from the Elks, the lodge will be staffed by volunteers and lodge members, and the food provided by Alfredo DeBonis of Alfredo's Restaurant, located at the Lodge.

The event is free but open only to New Brunswick residents and their children. Attendees will be asked to show proof of residence.
