Photo Gallery: 20th Annual New Brunswick Tree Lighting Ceremony

The annual tree lighting ceremony in New Brunswick had it's 20th anniversary on Friday night.

It's officially the holiday season in Hub City.

On Friday night, the city held its annual tree lighting ceremony, presented by New Brunswick City Market.

Despite a constant drizzle, residents enjoyed holiday music and dances and voted for their favorite chili during the fifth annual Chili Cook Off.

The festivities  will continue throughout the month, with free horse-drawn carriage rides to be offered on Dec. 14-15 and 21-22.

Between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., carriages will pick up riders at the Heldrich hotel, 10 Livingston Ave., and the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, 2 Albany St., for a tour of downtown New Brunswick.
