Rutgers Student Found Dead in Dorm

The student, from East Windsor, was found dead around 9 a.m. on Cook campus.

A Rutgers University student was found dead in his dorm Saturday morning, and police are investigating, according to a report on NJ.com.

According to the report, Andrew M. Gottfried of East Windsor was found in his dorm in Perry Hall on Cook Campus just after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Paramedics tried unsuccessfully to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m., according to the report.

Rutgers spokesman Steve Manas said that foul play is not suspected in the student's death. Counseling services are being made available to students.

Gottfried was a pre-business major at Rutgers, according to the report.
