Saint Peter's University Hospital to Hold World Day of the Sick Mass on Feb. 13

Mass to be held at noon in the hospital chapel

Saint Peter's University Hospital has announced that a Mass will be held at noon on Feb. 13 in the hospital chapel in observation of World Day of the Sick.

The Mass celebrants will be Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, founding Bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen, Bishop Paul G. Bootkoski of the Diocese of Metuchen, and Archbishop Zygmund Zimowski, President of the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Healthcare Workers.

Following the Mass, Bootkoski will visit with adult and child patients in the pediatric and oncology units of the hospital.

According to a release from Saint Peter's University Hospital, World Day of the Sick is celebrated in the Catholic Church by praying for and anointing the sick.
