Summer Reading Not Just for Kids

Read books in with a theme of "groundbreaking" and submit reviews to be entered into a weekly drawing for prizes.

The New Brunswick Free Public Library invites adults to participate in its Adult Summer Reading Club for a chance to win weekly prizes, or a grand prize of a Nook HD Tablet.

The way the club works is this: Adults are asked to read books, ebooks, or listen to audiobooks in the theme of "Groundbreaking," such as "Watership Down" by Richard Adams, or "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne.

After completing the book, participants must fill out a review of what they've read and bring it back to the library. Each week, the library will hold a drawing from those reviews and pick a winner to receive a prize.

A grand prize will be awarded in August for a Nook HD Tablet, and will be chosen from all submitted reviews, according to the library.

The program runs through August 17 and is open to all adults over the age of 18 with a valid New Brunswick Free Public Library library card.
