Art After Hours: First Wednesdays
Art After Hours is the eclectic evening series that invites visitors to engage in a multifaceted approach to the arts on the first Wednesday of most months.
Kick off the New Year at Art After Hours! The event spotlights “Art=Text=Art: Works by Contemporary Artists” with an exhibition tour and a discussion with Mason Gross professor Jeff Friedman about dancer, choreographer, and visual artist Trisha Brown. She is one of the leading figures in American Postmodernism and her work is included in the exhibition “Art=Text=Art.” Friedman – a dancer, choreographer, and scholar – explores Brown's fascination with movement of both the body and the graphic line. Seasonal specials in the Museum Store and complimentary light refreshments are available. FREE to Rutgers students, faculty, staff, and Zimmerli members (with valid ID). $6 general admission.
