To donate blood - donors must be 17 - 76 years old; 16 year-olds can donate with written parental consent and those over 76 require a doctor's note. You must be in good health, weign at least 110 pounds, and not be in a know risk group. Prior to donating: eat regular meals but avoid fatty foods four hours prior to donating. Bring a picture ID and a buddy!

To be tested as potential bone marror or stem cell donor - a cheek swab will be taken. Donors must be ages 18 - 55. Your sample will be analyzed and put into the national "Be the Match" registry, part of the National Bone Marrow Program. You may be contacted if a match to a potential tissue recipient is found, now or in the future. If you match, you have the option of donating or not. Details will be discussed at that time.
