Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day

On September 29, St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick will be holding an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day.  The purpose of this event is to create
awareness among women of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, prevention options,
screening tests available, research being conducted, and treatment of the
disease.  Come learn about a disease that
claims 14,400 women’s lives every year. Various organizations will be in
attendance with the most current information on screening and symptoms. Guest
speakers include gynecological oncologist, Dr. Wilberto Nieves-Neira, geneticist,
Ms. Michele Horner, nutritionist, Ms. Teresa Grasso, and several survivors.
Doors open at 12:45 p.m. Program starts at 1:00 p.m in Sister Marie de Pazzi
Conference Center. Refreshments will be provided. We encourage you to wear
teal, the color of Ovarian Cancer.  For
more information or to RSVP, contact Kristin Gmunder at (908)-635-9107 or
e-mail OCAD.Sept29@gmail.com.
