"An Artist Revealed" Tashonia Polynice Launch Party Tomorrow Night!

The latest blog entry from New Brunswick City Market on www.NewBrunswick.com on 3/28/12.

On Thursday, March 29th, the launch party of WWW.THROCKMARTIN.COM will happen at Makeda's Ethiopian Restaurant, entitled "An Artist Revealed". "An Artist Revealed" is an art blog that chronicles the journey of artist Tashonia Polynice and her art making process. This event will take place on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Makeda Restaurant & Gallery located at 338 George St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

The event will feature an install of paintings from an emerging artist. The emerging artist, Tashonia Polynice, is a guest artist to the New Brunswick Community Arts Council and a staff member of the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University. The artist selected New Brunswick, a thriving art city, for the reveal and celebration of Throckmartin.com because this city has a long history of supporting the arts in all forms. “It is very important to me to give back to my local supporters by providing a sneak preview of my work and my blog” responded the artist.

Throckmartin.com will be an exciting addition to the art community kicking off with candid guest interviews, photos, an art raffle, and giveaways at the launch party at Makeda’s. Invitees to the party include art enthusiasts, elected officials, patrons and press but is open to the public. There is an nominal admission fee of $20 which includes one complimentary raffle ticket for a chance to take home an original piece by Ms. Polynice. Additional raffle tickets are $10. Following the opening, Makeda's Restaurant will feature music by New Brunswick Jazz Project. Dinner reservations can be made at 732-545-5115. All inquiries and RSVP's for the event should be directed to: Rebecca Brenowitz, Media Specialist at rbrenowitz1@aol.com.
