Spring Hills Somerset introduces breakthrough Healthcare Technology

Spring Hills Senior Communities is introducing new technology that will enhance the quality, thoroughness and efficiency of care and services for residents at its senior assisted living communities throughout the country, including Spring Hills Somerset in Somerset, NJ. The technology will ease record keeping and make it easier to immediately access information about residents.

The system was developed by PointClickCare, one of the leading providers of cloud-based software for senior care, and strategically modified by Lesa Scott, Spring Hills Vice President of Resident Services and Program Development, to produce an integrated proprietary system designed specifically to address the clinical and lifestyle needs of Spring Hills Assisted Living residents.

Spring Hills’ new system utilizing PointClickCare’s Point of Care (POC) technology gives nurses and caregivers the ability to easily document and track assigned tasks.  In addition, Spring Hills has recently launched an Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system allowing more efficient documentation of medication administration and automatic tracking of medications from order fulfillment to administration.

“With this breakthrough technology that replaces paper documentation, we are able to increase efficiency in maintaining records. This integration benefits every resident by creating a safer system of seamless documentation of clinical and pharmacological histories with the click of a computer key,” said Scott.

Scott expects that the new PointClickCare/POC/eMAR system will be fully operational at all eight Spring Hills communities by August.
