2 Arrested After New Brunswick Cocaine Investigation

Cocaine and a handgun recovered as a result of the arrests.

In the early afternoon hours of July 17, 2014, New Brunswick Police Department narcotic detectives executed a court approved search warrant at an apartment within 33 Commercial Avenue. The search warrant execution stemmed of an ongoing drug investigation. As a result of the warrant execution the detectives seized cocaine and a handgun from the apartment.

Arrested in connection with the investigation was Benjamin Anderson, 24, and Barbara Hinson, 22, both from New Brunswick. Both Benjamin Anderson and Barbara Hinson are charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine in a school zone, possession of cocaine in a public park zone, and possession of a handgun.
