Arrest Made in Easton Avenue Shooting

An Edison man has been arrested for allegedly shooting a New Brunswick man near Stuff Yer Face on Sept. 22.

Authorities have arrested an Edison man in connection with a shooting on Easton Avenue last month.

According to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, Darryll Underwood, 19, was arrested around 3 p.m. Tuesday and charged with attempted murder, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, possession of a handgun without a permit and rioting in connection with a Sept. 22 shooting in the vicinity of Stuff Yer Face on Easton Avenue.

The unidentified victim, a 21-year-old New Brunswick man, was not seriously injured in the shooting, which happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 22. Police have declined to release his name. He is not a Rutgers University student.

Underwood has been jailed, and bail has not yet been set, according to the release.

Authorities continue to investigate.
