Comstock Fire Damages House But Does Not Cause Injuries

The cause of the fire at 6 Comstock St. was electrical, according to Cpt. Rob Schaffer.

A fire at 6 Comstock St. on Tuesday night burned a hole in the roof of a multi-family home and resulted in some major smoke damage, but no injuries.

Cpt. Rob Schaffer said the two-alarm fire, which occured just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, appeared to have started in the third floor attic, as heavy smoke was coming from that part of the house when the fire department arrived.

Fire companies from North Brunswick, East Franklin, Edison and East Brunswick aided on the scene, Schaffer said.
