A flash flood warning was issued in Middlesex County Friday, and it didn't disappoint.

The flooding and rain compelled Metuchen to move its June Bug Art Fest indoors while water prevented traffic from passing under the Northeast Corridor train trestle on Main Street

The rain also came down heavy Friday causing flooding on Worth Street in the Iselin section of Woodbridge.

The water traveled in a rapid flow down Melvin Avenue to Westbury Road, and then onto Worth Street where the water started to rise.

A driver had to be rescued by the Iselin Fire Department when her vehicle became stuck in the floodwaters and the water had risen to the headlights of her vehicle.
