An early Sunday shooting left on injured in New Brunswick, police said.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., a 26-year-old female from Hillsborough was shot multiple times while walking on Remsen Avenue between Welton Street and George Street.
The woman was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where she was treated and remains in critical, but stable condition.
New Brunswick police detectives continue to investigate, while the initial investigation suggests the victim and the attacker were familiar with each other prior to the shooting.
