Man Apparently Shot to Death in New Brunswick Sunday Morning

Gregoria Hernandez, 28, was pronounced dead earlier this morning. A 23-year-old man was treated and released.

Police are actively investigating an apparent shooting that left a 28-year-old man dead and another man wounded, Acting Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A. Caputo announced Sunday afternoon.

Gregorio Hernandez, 28, of New Brunswick was pronounced dead at 1:08 a.m. at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was taken there after apparently being shot around 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning at a house on Hale Street in New Brunswick.

A 23-year-old unidentified New Brunswick man was taken to the hospital and was released after being treated.

No arrests have been made, but an investigation is active and is continuing.
