New Brunswick Man Faces 7-Count Indictment Related to Aberdeen Burglaries

Apolinar Pelaez, 19, of Main Street in Matawan has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts related to burglary, theft and weapons possession of a crime that occurred in Aberdeen on December 23. 

Guadalupe Natividad, 19, of New Brunswick is also facing the same charges. 

They are accused of stealing jewelry, electronics, and clothing valued more than $500 from one property owner; and cash, electronics and other property from the other. 

They face third-degree charges of two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of moveable property and receiving stolen property. They also fourth degree-charges of hindering apprehension of oneself and unlawful possession of a weapon (a knife). 

An indictment is merely a formal charge by the Grand Jury. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
