Rutgers University Student Assaulted, Then Robbed: Have You Seen Suspect?

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly struck, and then robbed a Rutgers University student on Monday in New Brunswick.

The incident reportedly occurred on High Street, which is located between Hamilton and Somerset Streets, around 12 noonΒ in New Brunswick.

In this incident the victim, a Rutgers University student, reported that while walking on High Street; he was approached by the perpetrator who struck him in the back of head causing him to fall to the ground.

Following his fall, the perpetrator removed items of value from the victim and fled on High Street towards Somerset Street. There were no weapons displayed by the assailant and the victim was not seriously injured during this incident.

The perpetrator is described as black male approximately 5'11", medium build, with ear length dreadlocks, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
