Water Main Break on Welton Closes Street, School
Welton Street is closed between Joyce Kilmer Avenue and Livingston Avenue.
A water main break on Welton Street has resulted in the closure of Roosevelt School.
According to Cpt. J.T. Miller of New Brunswick Police, the water main break is located on Welton Street between Livingston Avenue and Joyce Kilmer Avenue.
Welton Street is closed between those two avenues while crews work to fix the break, and it is not known how long the repairs will take, he said.
Nearby Roosevelt School has been closed for the day, as the school does not have water because of the break, he said.
The school district announced the closure this morning via Nixle.
