Woman Robbed in College Avenue Parking Lot

The suspect is still at large, according to police.

A woman walking in a College Avenue parking lot was robbed around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday night, according to an alert from the Rutgers University Police Department. 

According to the alert, while the woman was walking through Lot Eight, located at 44 College Ave., a man came up behind her and "removed personal property she was carrying," before running toward College Ave.

An eyewitness gave chase and confronted the suspect near Kirkpatrick Chapel on Somerset Street, where the suspect allegedly brandished a knife and fled toward Hamilton Street, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” and 150 pounds. He was wearing tan pants, black shoes and a black net skull cap, according to a description provided by police.
