A 25-year-old Middlesex County man was charged having a loaded handgun in his car on Saturday, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.
Jovon E. Smith of Woodbridge was charged with having a black, hi-standard 22-caliber sentinel revolver in Tinton Falls, according to court records.
Court records say Smith's gun was found after a search of his vehicle, which was impounded.
Smith's bail was set at $150,000 and he's scheduled to appear in court at 8 a.m. on July 1.
