Student job seekers are urged to focus their attention on a large speed networking event at Rutgers University on Dec. 5.
According to a press release from organizers, nearly 300 alumni will be on hand to network with students to afford them a chance to practice their interview skills and make connections toward finding employment.
The "Bridging the Gap" Speed Networking Event is sponsored by a number of departments at Rutgers, including the Rutgers Alumni Association, Rutgers Career Services, and the alumni associations of Cook campus, the Graduate School of Education and Livingston campus.
According to the release, "Bridging the Gap" is an ongoing campaign at Rutgers that is meant to assist veteran students in smoother transitions from active duty to student life and then to employment.
The event is open to both civilian and veteran students.
"Bridging the Gap" will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Rutgers Student Center, 126 College Ave.
