Thursday: Meet the BOE Candidates at an Open Forum

Candidates will answer questions about their views on education issues at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lord Stirling Community School.

New Brunswick is less than a week out from its first regular school board election, and the candidates for the board of education will answer questions on Thursday night as to why they are running, their views on education issues, and what they hope to accomplish in New Brunswick.

Unity Square will hold a public forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Lord Stirling Community School, 101 Redmond St.

Spanish translation will be available to those who need it.

The candidates will answer questions about their campaigns, education in New Brunswick and their thoughts on education issues. Public questions will be accepted.

Voters will cast their votes to fill three board seats and vote for or against a $27.3 million tax levy to support the $195 million school budget on April 16.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
