Photo Gallery: Elijah's Promise Turkey Trot
3K Walk Raised Funds for the Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen, which served over 100,000 meals last year.
The weather was beautiful on Sunday, and a few hundred walkers took to Buccleuch Park for the Elijah's Promise Turkey Trot.
All along the way, staff and volunteers of Elijah's Promise set up tasting stations for walkers to stop and nosh at, featuring cheesecake bites, red velvet cake, cookies, turkey salad sandwiches and six kinds of bread pudding.
Funds raised from the event will benefit the Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen. The organization set a goal of $60,000 to raise, and on Sunday afternoon, the Donor Page for the organization reflected about $23,500.
