The "Princess" of Elijah's Promise

Elijah's Promise founding member Jane Betz is remembered by the organization.

Michelle Wilson of Elijah's Promise has posted a blog about founding member Jane Betz. Or, as she is memorialized in stories, "Princess Jane."

According to Wilson, Betz helped found the anti-hunger nonprofit and soup kitchen over 20 years ago. She has since passed away, but her legacy lives on, particularly through stories Wilson has told her daughter about "Princess Jane," who worked to feed all the people of her community and improve the world.

"Like Jane Betz, β€œPrincess Jane” was an artist (and) she was also kind and tenacious about helping others," Wilson said. "The Princess Jane stories embodied the passions and the vision of the Elijah’s Promise community."

Wilson will soon take the story of Princess Jane to the children of New Brunswick at an upcoming event.
