Girl Scouts will be selling cookies door-to-door and at local establishments.
For those who love Girl Scout cookies, it may start to feel like the holiday season all over again. A press release for the Girl Scouts states that as of Jan. 18, eight varieties of cookies will be available. The eight cookies on sale include Samoas, Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Do-Di-dos, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles, Dulce de Leche and Thank U Berry Munch. Each box of cookies cost $4. While the cookies are delicious, sales of Girl Scout cookies gives girls multiple opportunities to raise funds that help them achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves. City students enrolled in after-school programs explore Rutgers Gardens with hands-on activities and gain appreciation for green spaces.
Building a fairy house has its rewards. Apart from providing whimsical woodland dwellers with accommodations away from the elements, construction of these natural abodes demonstrates the importance of balance and proportion, as well how to utilize one’s natural surroundings creatively. A local Girl Scout troop is selling cookies this month at the Route 1 Sears and on Douglass Campus
Girl Scout cookie season. Is there anything more sweet? Sugary puns aside, you've probably noticed Girl Scouts of America troops setting up tables at your local supermarket, or heard from a coworker who is taking cookie orders for their daughter or niece. Here in New Brunswick, one troop is working hard to sell their sweets. According to Annie Abram, who oversees in New Brunswick both a Cadette troop with six girls and a Senior/Ambassador troop with five girls, the money generated goes toward offsetting local costs. "Our girls are not all consistant with paying dues so we use the money for trips, events, crafts etc.," Abram said.
