Tractor-Trailer, Bus Involved in Accident on Turnpike

Two other trucks are possibly involved, according to state police.

Around 10 to 20 people were injured, one seriously, after a bus and tractor-trailer were involved in an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike two miles north of exit 8A on the southbound side around noon, state police said. Two other trucks were possibly involved as well, police said. The seriously injured person, who was reported to be the bus driver, was extricated and flown from the scene, said New Jersey State Police Spokesman Sgt. Stephen Jones. There were around 30 to 40 people on the bus and around 10 to 20 people suffered minor injuries. Two lanes and the shoulder are blocked on the Turnpike southbound in the outer truck lane and there are no lanes blocked on the inner car lane.
