I have a wife and two young kids; I drive a mid-size sedan; I say I live in the suburbs but the people in my town think it's more of a funky exurb, which only bolsters my belief that I kind of live in the suburbs. I'm a dispirited Mets fan (is there any other kind?) a dispirited Nets fan, and a dispirited Giants fan. I believe in government and I believe in the role of media in helping to inform readers as well as keeping government honest. I love reading but haven't read many books since starting a family. I love my KIndle, but basically read only the New York Times on it (see previous point about reading books). I love music more than most people, but play no instruments. I'd like to be the shortstop for the New York Mets; I'd like to be editor of Rolling Stone, but my strengths lie elsewhere.
