Pedestrian Struck and Killed Friday Afternoon

Details are slim as police investigate.

UPDATE 5:37 p.m.: NJ.com is reporting that the victim was struck by a Sunny Transportation van.

A pedestrian was struck and killed in the vicinity of French Street and Plum Street Friday afternoon, according to New Brunswick Police.

Cpt. J.T. Miller of New Brunswick Police said the incident happened around 1:20 p.m. Friday.

The adult male pedestrian was struck and killed in front of 10 Plum St.

The driver stayed on site.

Miller said that additional information was not available at this time, due to the pending investigation.
