Photo Gallery: Dia De Los Muertos at New Brunswick Free Public Library

Library is hosting Day of the Dead events through Nov. 4.

On Nov. 1, the New Brunswick Free Public Library commenced their celebration of Dia De Los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, a Mexican cultural holiday that celebrates those that have passed away.

Participants built an altar with photos of family and friends who have passed away, constructed paper flowers, and watched traditional Aztec dance performances by Kalpulli Huehuetlatolli.

Refreshments included Champurrado, a chocolate Mexican drink. The event was hosted by Lazos America Unida.
